DENTAL DREAMS LESSON 8 :

HOW TO FACE EXAM RESULTS

MY dear friends,

Lesson 8 – RESULTS !

We have discussed about all other activities

leading to results in my previous posts.

This post we will discuss how can we tackle results of exams – whether good or bad.

Trying to define result

RESULT = OUTCOME of an Action

R E S U L T also has L U S T R E in it !

This means your result should make u shine.

It should make you motivated to do better than the last time.

But it may NOT happen so, because we have boundaries of Best ,Good, OK & bad results formulated by us as a Society.

We are conditioned Not to appreciate participation

but to applaud ONLY Higher achievements.

So what are the causes of low scores &

What are the ways to tackle them ?

I feel, there is no such things as Good &

Bad results because of a Lot of factors

1.Only a certain amount of questions are asked, randomly. ALL topics may not be covered.

2.Only your memory power & not your understanding, may be judged.

3. The Examiner, being Human, may be biased.

4. Being Human s/he may be in a frame of mind, that may not be conducive for good results all the time.

5. You may be knowing the answers but may not be able to reproduce it at the right time.

6. You may not be able to keep up with the time limit.

7. You may suddenly go blank with anxiety.

8. You too, being human, may be affected by your personal problems at the wrong time.

9. You may suffer from anxiety/fear/phobia and may Underperform.

10. You may not be given the desired marks due to Laziness of an examiner.

Whatever, may be the reason, if you get Good marks , none of these

will apply to you but if you were to get poor marks, you would agree with all of them.

Basically, I feel, you ARE your BEST Examiner ! You should Know if you really have the Knowledge !

You should understand, that, whether you have or have Not understood a particular topic/subject.

Good or Bad results, either ways, you should LEARN more from them- to EXCEL !

How can students cope under exam & result Stress

Why DoStudents Crumble Under

The Pressure of So Called “Bad Results “

There have been many news in the recent past abbey students undergoing depression because of not getting good score or grades in the exams.

The world has become so competitive that the numbers have started controlling the mind of students.

Allowing just some numbers to play a major role in your life may give you just temporary Happiness or Depression.

But if the Number of Hours and dates change all the time, why NOT your marks/grades.

If you do NOT extract a Tooth just because it has decayed or even infected why should you SPOIL your Life just for getting Marks BELOW your Expectations ?

If you score law as per the system then just take the score as they are and analyse.

Remember that, farther than  just sulking under the marks,

go after the most important aspect of any exam i.e. Preparation.

Target the preparation, the results are just going to be the by products.

During preparation, target only on the preparation.

At that time never worry or look out for the scores.

I am telling this from my personal experiences.

The more you prepare diligently and properly (without thinking or worrying about the results or marks, the better marks/results, you achieve in the end)

RESULT should bring you LUSTRE for SURE, NOT make your Life Miserable.

Bad result should MOTIVATE you to perform BETTER next time and GOOD result should make you Strive for THE BEST !!! 😀
